I can’t speak for all of you, but I’m pretty sure most of you guys hate rest. How do I know that? Well, because I did. I thought rest was a waste of time. I’m stressing out about the due dates of my projects and you’re telling me to rest?! Crazy, I know! But also, not so crazy because rest is important, even if it doesn’t seem like it. You’re not “doing nothing,” you’re actually doing EVERYTHING. Short breaks have been proven to play a vital role in learning and skill acquisitions. A study by the National Institutes of Health discovered that when we are resting, our brains replay compressed versions of newly learned skills, with this replay occurring about 25 times per each rest period during the initial learning phase. By engaging with the correct types of rest, we can reduce stress levels and chances of burnout, thereby benefiting your overall health and leading to a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Thank you so so so much for reading! I’m so incredibly grateful you’re here and I hope that you’ll try some of these restful activities! Don’t hesitate to reach out to me through my email (@everythingnanything321@gmail.com) or social media platforms on TikTok and Instagram (@everyth1ngnanyth1ng). I’m just a message away 😉! Before I end off, I want to leave you with a Bible verse from Matthew 11:28 in which it says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” If you don’t know where to start, start at point 7: Read the Bible. Do your best, and God will do the rest! Don’t spend all your time stressing about the negative “what ifs,” because what if it doesn’t end in the worst possible scenario? Then you will have just wasted so much unnecessary time!

Please don’t forget that:
  • I am insanely proud of you.
  • Your feelings are valid.
  • You are so loved.

Have an amazing day or night wherever you are! See you soon!
